USD 216 Families,

We want to update you on the current boil water advisory affecting our district. Since water fountains will not be available, families are welcome to send a water bottle with their student. In addition, water bottles will be available at all school buildings for any student who needs one.

Please be assured that USD 216 will continue to follow all guidance from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) until the boil water advisory has been officially lifted. We will notify families as soon as that occurs.

Tomorrow is the first day back for all students in grades K-12 at Deerfield! Our teachers and staff are thrilled to see everyone back first thing tomorrow morning! Doors will open at 7:30 am, school starts at 7:50 am. Students will receive breakfast and lunch, and then be dismissed at 12:00 pm. It is almost that time of year! Back to School Open House will be on August 5th, 2026. Deerfield High School and Middle School will be from 4-6pm and then Deerfield Elementary will be from 5-7pm. We encourage you to come out, meet your student's teachers, and get more information about school activities. Also that night we will have the grand opening of the USD 216 Ben Carson Reading Room in the Ryman Library. So come out and check it out! #WeAreSpartans

Reminder to all Deerfield Athletes and Coaches: The Kansas State High School Activities Association’s (KSHSAA) summer moratorium begins this week. June 29-July 5, 2026. Coaches cannot engage in any type of activity involving student athletes, whether it be practice, training, weightlifting, conditioning, competition or travel.
Athletic facilities are closed during this period to school personnel and students in grades 7-12.
