Deerfield USD 216 - Home of the Spartans

November 1st: Mrs. Laurel Horton, long-time HS/MS Building Administrative Assistant, officially retired from USD 216. USD 216 honored Mrs. Horton for her service with a come and go reception after school and many staff, students, and former staff and students stopped by to congratulate Mrs. Horton on her retirement. Mrs. Horton has been with USD 216 in her position since July 2006 and has been a huge part of the HS/MS and the district. She not only made an impact daily on staff and students but also supported students and staff at different events throughout the years. Mrs. Horton will be missed greatly by everyone at USD 216, but we congratulate her on her retirement and thank her for the impact that she has had on so many at USD 216.
