Deerfield USD 216 - Home of the Spartans

USD 216 is excited to introduce Mrs. Erica Daugherty as our new HS/MS Interrelated Special Education Teacher for the 2022-23 school year. Mrs. Daugherty attended Lakin High School and now attends Fort Hays State University. Her family consists of her husband and 18-month-old son, who all live on their farm. When Mrs. Daugherty is not working in education, she enjoys fishing, camping, anything outdoors, traveling & singing! Her goal for her first year in Deerfield is to build relationships with her students and help them reach their full potential! Also, get to know the staff and learn all there is to know. Mrs. Daugherty also shared that she has never been a teacher before. She was a social work major and switched to special education due to her experience working as an intern with special education students. She is starting her seventh year in college and fifth year through FHSU! She is excited to be a part of USD 216 and is looking forward to seeing her students grow!
