The USD 216 Board of Education has approved the 2024-25 school district calendar. The first day of the 2024-25 school year for students will be September 3, 2024, and that will be a half-day with a noon dismissal, with the last day scheduled for May 22, 2025, and this will be a full day for students. The later start for next school year is so the district is able to complete all bond construction. Much of the construction at the elementary school is not able to be done with students and staff in the building. The full calendar is available on the district website and we encourage all families to review the important dates and plan accordingly.
