USD 216 is excited to introduce Ms. Guadalupe Hernandez as our new K-12 Music/Band Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Ms.Hernandez graduated High School from Garden City High School and college from Fort Hays University. Ms. Hernandez is the youngest of three with an older brother and sister. She has five nieces! When Ms. Hernandez is not working, she enjoys reading, baking, drawing and playing music on her saxophone. Ms. Hernandez said, “When I was in school my favorite class was music and one of my goals was to give every student at USD 216 a wonderful experience that will bring them joy, just like it brought me. I think every school and community should implement music in their lives in some way.” Please welcome Ms. Guadalupe Hernandez to Deerfield High School and USD 216; we can’t wait to see her impact on our students.
