USD 216 is excited to introduce Mr. Jim Shellenberger as our new High School English Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Mr. Shellenberger graduated from Sunrise Christian Academy for high school and College-Midamerica Nazarene University for college. He has two amazing kids, Kambri and Isaiah, our dog Nola and cat, Leviosa. When Mr. Shellenberger is not working, he enjoys running, spending time with his kids, going to GC Wind games and taking road trips! As he gets started in his new position with the district this fall, his goal is to build relationships with students, staff and the Deerfield community. Teach well, invest in others. Inspire students to discover and develop their passions and talents, and the steps toward pursuing those.
