The guys came up focused and ready to go. They were going into the end of the first quarter down 16-14. Then a cold second quarter put them behind 18. They battled all night before coming up short 71-34. Coach Towle said after the game tonight.
We battled a very well-coached team. Our guys grew a lot tonight to get back into form and ready for playoffs. We still have to clean some things up, but we’re starting to figure some things out at the right time. The guys showed a lot of heart tonight. Now time to get ready for the playoffs; we have two weeks to focus and get everybody in form. Spartans finished 2nd in the Sub-State bracket and will have a first-round bye and home game on March 3rd. The Spartans finished 6-14 in the regular season. I told the guys after the game it’s winning or going home. Everyone is 0-0. Every possession counts. I’m excited to see what happens.
